Who's The Reason?

Although Small As Mustard, But It's Still A Seed

Halo everyone... I recovered the video below, from the church's pc... It reminds me of the continuous sermon that Pastor had been preaching tis 2 wks-Faith in God... I was being reminded of the size of faith doesn't matter, but wut really matters is the object of that faith... Therefore, I should ask tis question to myself and to everyone: "Where do I put my faith in?", not "How much faith do I have in God". I was really thankful tat it's not my place to focus on how much my faith is to God, because I always think tat it's impossible to make it tangible... However, asking yourself weder you're having faith in God or not is different. Tat one you can evaluate yourself and it's really tangible, for the final answer hv no calculation at all.  It's juz a simple "Yes" or "No"...

In Matthew 13:31-32, Jesus said that mustard seed is the smallest seed of all but when it grows, it will grow into the largest tree of all... If we focus on the size of a mustard seed, we think that it's too little, then, we'll think tat it's impossible for it to grow large... But if we focus on the purpose of the mustard seed, we think that it is possible, it will grow, because it's a seed, it's purpose is to grow into a tree... Therefore, the same goes to us... If we focus on the resources, abilities and strength that we have, we think tat it's impossible for us to move even further because we can clearly see wut is our limitations... But if we focus on our purpose here on earth, which is stated in the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20, that we'll go and make disciples of ALL nations, we know that we CAN, because that's our purpose! So let's have faith in God and the Word of God, that tells us that we CAN, to grow ourselves and the care group together o(>o<)o

Linking back to the video, hehe... I saw just a few ppl in the choir, yet, they were able to make the parts to be heard so clearly, with such a good coordination, and the power of God that fills the place when they were performing on stage... I believe, tat it's not the matter of how many ppl they should have in the choir, but where they put their believe upon... They believe in God, altho the number is few, but juz by believing in God, even with juz 9 persons, they can make a difference...

~Evaluation~

Basically this topic is I taken from bulletin on 29th June 2008 & is written by Ps Denis Lu and the Pastoral Team. I believe every time most of us didn't really seriously read through the bulletin after we got it hiak hiak repent repent its time for u to repent!!!! Ok back to my topic, this topic is talking about the "Evaluation", as we know that currently we are at the half-way mark of 2008 and sometime it is good to evaluate how far we've sailed towards our overall theme of "Planting the kingdom." Basically we have various parts our tree needed to be check.

1. Check the Root!

  • I'm referring to the spiritual basics that are essential for our spiritual life to be healthy and thriving. We must have a network and avenue of absorbing spiritual nutrients and living water from the soil. Roots also provide a stable foundation or underground support base for the plant to grow into a tree. So your roots healthy? Are you drawing nutrients from the Word of God and water from the spirit of God daily?

2. Check the trunk!
  • The trunk is the main support structure. On a personal level, this represents the support systems that enable us to live and function effectively on a daily basis. In short, it represents everything that we do which supports our ability to achieve our overall life goals. Do you have some built in support system? Can you optimise your resources and abilities? Or is your life a tangled web of disorder? we should channel or build supports that help us achieve God's vision for our lives.

3. Check the branches!
  • The branches of a tree extend outwards and upwards, spread over a wide area. When our support systems are in place and functioning, we gain the confidence and the ability of branch out or to reach out to others. To branch out and touch more lives is to grow! Perhaps it's time for you to branch out by becoming a shepherd, or a care leader! Are you branching out???

4. Check the fruits!
  • Processes applied correctly will bring results. Imagine investing in a coconut plantation only to see that after all the care and effort that the trees bear no fruit! God expects our lives to bear fruit that will last! Some of the everlasting fruits are souls saved, Christ like character growth and expansion in our ministry roles and responsibilities in God's Kingdom. Let's be reminded that Jesus considered the servant who buried the one talent as unfaithful because he was not fruitful! Therefore, we are faithful to God when we are fruitful with what he has entrusted to our care.

God bless you all & may you flourish in the KINGDOM OF GOD~~
